“Red soles are like lipstick on shoes, making people want to kiss unconsciously, coupled with exposed toes,it is even more sexy. ”Christian Louboutin said. Who is Christian Louboutin? The founder of louboutin. He was born in Paris, France in 1963, designer of high heels. Maybe it’s influenced by this romantic city. He has had a dream of designing high heels since he was 12 years old. Nowadays, louboutin has become a famous brand of high heels in the world. What is even more impressive is the brand’s iconic red sole. However, where did the idea of red soles come from? It has to beginning with the story of the founder,”Christian Louboutin.
Born in France in 1963 and of Egyptian descent, Christian Louboutin spent most of his early years with his mother and three sisters because his father rarely appeared. When he was a child, he began to fantasize about dreamy shoes and draw sketches of woman’s shoes. He said his obsession with high heels began at the age of 12 when he visited the National Museum of Art on Daumesnil Street in Paris, when he saw a sign forbidding women in high heels to enter the building for fear of damaging expensive and fragile wooden floors. This image remained in his mind. And later he wanted to challenge it by creating shoes that could break the rules and make women feel independent and powerful.
However, Louboutin was a piquant child who ran away from home at the age of 12 and was expelled from school at the age of 16. He looks for work in strange places, such as song and dance halls and nightclubs in Paris, and he making shoes for dancers. During this period, he often left Paris, traveled to Egypt and went to India for a year of enlightenment travel.
In the early 1980s, at the age of 27, he slightly settled down and worked for the French brand Charles Jourdan, learning the context of shoe-making. After that, he met the famous footwear designer Roger Vivier, one of the inventors of high heels, and became an apprentice in his studio. He later became his assistant and helped him conduct a brand retrospecti-ve in 1988.
After working as a freelance designer for some time, Louboutin finally established his own brand and first store with the support of his friends in 1991. He was 38 at that time. This is a really young age.
An important milestone was in 1993. “my assistant sat there and painted her nails red,” he recalled. I took a look and decided to paint the soles of my shoes red. And I thought, Oh, my God! The red soles are so eye-catching that customers want me to continue to do this series.”
His artistic and sexy shoes soon attracted people like Princess Caroline of Monaco, one of his early clients. We have to admit that his idea is unique, which not only brings creative changes to traditional high heels, but also makes girls feel confident when they put on cheap louboutin shoes. I think that’s why Louboutin sale is still popular with women all over the world.
